A nationwide youth empowerment and rehabilitation movement.
What we did
- 01Safe spaces for youth aged 15–35 across informal settlements.
- 02Addressing unemployment, mental health, substance abuse, and GBV.
- 03Strategic partnerships with government and global NGOs.
- 04Building community leaders and changemakers at the grassroots.
- 05Pool table competitions used to transform lives, with major events and concerts staged around them. Base Yetu competitions saw great success in Meru, Nyeri, Kitale, Eldoret and Nairobi.
“A pool table on the base, an event around it — turning a chuom into a movement.”
